We just got a few new things on our web which might be of interest you.

In cooperation with KDAB and ICS we’ve recorded two modules of the Qt Essentials training and have posted them as videos. Well, unlike most of postings here, this is not a cutting edge stuff at all 🙂 , but we believe it is useful for all those who just start with Qt. We are ready to do more in this area. You can tell us what that should be by filling out this feedback form. An interesting fact which motivates us and tells us that we are probably doing a right thing is that videos from the Developers Days 2009 and others in the past are still (7 months passed…) highly popular. More than 100 people them per day watch them since the start in Dec 2009.

BTW feedback, the Qt Learning Survey 2010 is open now. Please tell us about your learning needs and use a chance to win an N900.

Cheers!

This is very nice!

The videos are very easy to understand, well done!

Hope there will be more soon 🙂

Jim says:

The videos are great, but you also make beside video a text + pictures tutorial , also by providing quotes with the source code used in the tutorial, finishing with a download link of the source code for that program.
Watching videos is sometimes boring, because I might be interested only in a certain part of the tutorial, so it’s hard to search through the entire video. another bad thing about videos is that you can copy-paste the code. 🙂

Thanks for comments! We working the feature on the web which will be allow to jump to a give point of the presentation as listed in the agenda. I will post further news as soon as we get it!

Providing tags for the videos would be a good way of searching them.
Also adding “date added” for each video would be good.
For example, you said: “we’ve recorded two modules”
How do I find those modules? I could not find them so far…

Thorbjørn Lindeijer says:

@AlexBravo: The names of the two modules are part of the video title. They are “Fundamentals of Qt” and “Application Creation”. I do agree it would be nice to see the age of a video though, so you can see what’s new.

Hi,

Thanks for the videos, they are quite useful.
Also, in the third video, fundamentals Qt objects 1/3, a file with the code for the example is mentioned. Is it available online?

Thanks

Some people asked how long the survey will stay online and when we will announce the winners. We will keep the survey open until mid of Sept and announce winners before the end of Sept. Thanks for the numerous responses to the survey so far!
