Qt Developer Days 2011 is go!

Twitter is ablaze with the #QtDD11 hashtag. Qt Developer Days 2011 Munich is underway!

Training is the central pillar of day one, and over 500 developers from 32 different countries filled our five training streams in Munich.

Some tracks, like Advanced Qt - a deep dive were in such demand that during the lead up to the event, we were repeatedly forced to move it to a larger room, and to create more capacity.

Qt partners and exhibitors opened the event with demos and showcases for the attendees, and the exhibition area has been alive with activity from the very start of the event.

The N9 app clinic (complete with its own app doctors) opened for business, and the Qt demo pavilion showcased how leading companies are using Qt in shipping products. Some of these products will be featured on this blog over the coming days.

Once training had concluded, Platinum sponsor Digia hosted the traditional welcome reception, where attendees mingled, socialised and sampled some local German delicacies, including of course the famous german beer.

Large numbers of additional attendees are in Munich for day two, which features keynotes, the beginning of the tech track and Qt in Use sessions, and some surprises at the Qt dinner, hosted by Gold sponsor KDAB. If day one is any indication, it’s going to be a fantastic, busy day.

The mood in Munich is high – Qt Developer Days is in full swing. Here’s a selection of photos from day one.
